Barby CE Primary School - Open Days for 2018 Foundation Stage

Dunchurch Pools Marina is now open for business
Canal Boats at the new Dunchurch Pools MarinaThe new marina at Onley now has its first boats moored.

Changes to Stagecoach Route from 5th November 2017
From Sunday 5th November Stagecoach are making major changes to their bus services in the Daventry area, including their services to Long Buckby, Northampton and Rugby. The key change is that a new service will be created, numbered D1 / D2 which will operate from Rugby to Northampton via Daventry.  Route D1 will replace the current Route 10 through Barby.  The full information can be viewed on D1 Timetable, D1 Map

Barby Townlands & Educational Charity
Are looking for a new Trustee to replace Peter Owen who has resigned due to other commitments.
The Charity uses funds raised from the property it manages and investments to provide grants to local organisations that are based in or serve the residents of Barby and Onley. The charity's assets are spread throughout the village including the Play Area, the Tennis Court, the Sports Field, Allotments, Millennium Orchard and Petanque Pit as well as Barby Garage and some farm land on the outskirts of the village. The trustees meet 3 or 4 times per year.

The next Breakfast Cafe will be on Sunday 19th November in Barby Village Hall (Old School Room) from 9.30am to 11.30am

It will run every 3rd Sunday of each month. Please come along and enjoy a Sunday Brunch. All proceeds in aid of the Kitchen Fund.

Don't forget that Homemade Soup and Desserts are available on the 1st Saturday of every month in St Mary's Church, 12noon to 2.00pm. Soup & Roll, Dessert with Cream, plus Tea or Coffee all for only £4.50. Games and activities for the children. Proceeds to St Mary's Church

Christmas Waste Collection Arrangements & DDC Office Closures
There will be no waste collection on Christmas Day BUT Black Bins, Recycling Boxes, food waste and large cardboard items will be collected on Christmas Eve instead.  Black Bins and Brown Bins will not be collected on New Year’s Day, but Recycling Boxes, food waste and large cardboard items will be collected on that day.  Real Christmas Trees will be collected (with the Brown Bins) from Monday 15th January.  Full Details of all DDC Christmas Waste Arrangements.  

Daventry District Council’s offices will close at 4.30pm on Friday 22nd December, reopening at 9.00am on Tuesday, 2nd January.  Daventry Market will take place on Friday, 22nd December and Friday, 29th December. There will be no market on Tuesday, 26th December.
